Matthew 8:20, And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
The call to follow Jesus is a call to sacrifice and surrender comforts, conveniences, and often, even our closest companions [Matthew 8:18-22; Luke 9:57-62], to pursue, not only the cause of Christ but the Christ of the cause. For one to profess Christ there is little sacrifice involved. Yet, for one to possess Christ and to be possessed by Christ much sacrifice is involved. It is so easy for us to sing, “All to Jesus I surrender, all to him I freely bring,” but much more difficult to live it!
Who or what is Christ calling you to sacrifice in order to follow him where he might lead?
Just reflecting some!!!
