The Key to Making the Right Choices

Choices

Joshua 24:15, “… Choose you this day whom ye will serve … But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Your life and mine is not only FILLED with choices to make, but our lives are actually FORMED by the choices that we have or will make. Our choices are like doors that lead us into a way or path of life. This is known as “The Principle of the Path.” It is a principle found throughout the Bible (Proverbs 3:5-6; 4:10-27).

The DIRECTION of our lives is determined by the DECISIONS or choices we have made in the past, and/or the decisions that we will make today and in the future!

  • Will I live for God?
  • Will I serve God?
  • Whom will I marry?
  • How should I rear my children?
  • What career or calling I will pursue?
  • How I will serve?
  • Where should I serve?
  • Should I serve on the mission field?

Of course, there are countless others. These are choices or doors that are set before us on a regular basis.

The KEY to opening the right door is to listen to the right voices. I need to be listening to the voice of Jesus (John 10:3-4, 27) and listen to those voices that point me to the Person of Christ and the purpose of Christ for my life!

Choices have consequences.

This is “The Principle of the Path!!!

Just taking a few moments to reflect!
