“Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him.” – Hebrews 10:38
I am in West Virginia for a Missions’ Conference. The conference begins this evening. They have a great theme. “10/40 Window of Opportunity.” I love it! Rather than focusing on the obstacles in the 10/40 Window, the focus is on the opportunity.
Thinking about that, along with some of the reading that I have been doing in recent days, has caused me to ponder my life, as well as the life of so many dear folks that I know.
Far too often, we find ourselves focusing on the obstacles in fear, rather than the opportunities in faith!
Has God been stirring your heart in recent days to do something for His glory and for the good of the others? Has God been bringing about a restlessness in your heart? Has the Holy Spirit been drawing you to dream big for God? If so, and if you choose to follow those dreams, you’ll find that the Spirit will lead you down paths you never knew existed and take you to destinations that you never could have imagined.
But we have to choose to follow!!!
The world is always changed for the better by those who are willing to dream big and for those who are willing to follow those dreams. I like what one author wrote:
“At the end of your life, your greatest regret won’t be the things you did but wish you hadn’t. Your greatest regret will be the things you didn’t do but wish you had. It’s the ‘What if’ dreams that we never act upon that turn into ‘if only’ regrets. … At some point, many of us stop living out of imagination and start living out of memory. … That’s the day we stop dreaming of ‘what if’ possibilities and end up with ‘if only’ regrets.”
“TIME IS TICKING. EACH OF US WILL WALK THE planet for a certain number of days; we all have a specific number of breaths and heartbeats to expend. The question is: what will you do with the years, months, weeks, days, and minutes God has given you? What cause, if any, will define your life? How will you be remembered? What legacy will you leave for your family and the generations to come?”
What if you decided to follow your dreams? Then again, what if you don’t?
Just taking a moment to reflect on the future!!!
