“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness: and all these things shall be added unto you. Take no thought therefore for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” (Matthew 6:33-34)
Our three days together as a team in Bangkok was a time of great blessing. The fellowship was tremendous, the exchanging of ideas great, and the teaching and field reports challenging. It is such a blessing to see what God is doing in just such a short time. Our first team was launched just over five years ago.
Thankful for my brother’s (Pastor Joe) willingness to dream big things for God!
I think for me, as well as for many others, the high-light of the three days is when Vannak spoke for us. He was a great help! Vannak is one of our National leaders in Cambodia. He was saved about ten years ago. He and his family are faithful and have suffered much for the cause of Christ. We all love him and Samantha dearly. And their twins are precious!
Concerning the passage above, from my reading this morning, I am reminded that each and every one of our lives are filled with choices to make, roads to travel, mountains to climb, opportunities to consider, and challenges to face. We can never go wrong by seeking first the kingdom of God, seeking the King, and seeking His righteousness (the doing of right in a world that’s all wrong)!
And, I am also reminded that if we are not careful, we will live in the good old days of past, or focus on the future, and in doing so, we may very well miss all the opportunities, lessons to learn, and blessings that the King has for us today.
May God help us to seek Him, His kingdom, His righteousness, and live today to the fullest for His glory and for the good of others!
Just reflecting on the red letters of Jesus!
