Philippians 3:13-14, Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Isaiah 43:18-19, Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
This year is rapidly coming to a close. The New Year is rapidly approaching, and before we know it we will be in 2016. My guess is that many of you are like me. You are looking back at 2015 and trying to evaluate whether or not it was a good year, a so-so year, or a not so good year. And, I am guessing that you are also thinking about the upcoming year. You’re thinking about goals, objectives, purpose and plans.
It’s that time of the year!!!
So what are we going to do about it?
I believe that God has some new mountains for us to climb, oceans for us to cross, paths for us to travel, obstacles for us to overcome, foes for us to vanquish, and victories for us to win in 2016. Whether we know it or not, those mountains are calling us!
Someone has said,
“If we would only give the same amount of reflection to what we want out of life (or what we believe God wants out of our life) that we give to the question of what to do with a two weeks’ vacation, we would be startled at our false standards and the aimless procession of our busy days.”
As we approach the New Year …
- What mountains do you believe that God has for you to conquer?
- Can you hear them calling?
- Will you heed the call?
- What’s the plan?
The mountains are calling. No doubt about it! Can we hear the call?
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail!!!
Just reflecting on a New Year!!!!
PART TWO COMING SOON!!!!
