Dreaming for a New Year

Setting affection“While we look not at the things which are seen, but the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18).

“Where there is no vision, the people perish … ” (Proverbs 29:18)

“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;  If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:10-14).

Dream Big -1The year 2015 is rapidly coming to a close. In fact, 2016 is just a few hours away!

We can’t do anything about the past, but we can do something about the future, if we choose to do so:

•Have you taken time to evaluate 2015? The good, the bad, and, yes, even the ugly!

•Are you prayerfully seeking God’s heart and mind for the next twelve months?

•What will you be reading from the Bible? Have you given any thought to it, or is it just the same old, same old?

•What books will you be reading

• What relationships will you be strengthening?

•Are you still dreaming?

•Are you pursuing God’s desires and dreams for your life, your family, and your ministry?

Dream Big 3Life is far too short to just let it slip away without pursuing it on purpose, with God’s purpose (that which is eternal) in mind!

Just reflecting some on 2016!

  1. Happy New Year Brother Johhny, yep a New Year but still keeping the good old KJV Bible as my standard no matter what year the calender shows, I have noticed I have lived as if my GOD is a little more omnipresent and more omnipotent when I am at Church than when away, I know this is a mistake, and leads to a very loose liberty in Christ!!!…Maybe that is a problem with many Christians!!!!…Just a thought. GOD Bless You and Family.
