“And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was MOVED WITH COMPASSION toward them … He (Jesus) answered and said unto them (the disciples), GIVE YE THEM TO EAT …” (Mark 6:37).
People really don’t care HOW MUCH WE KNOW, nor do they really care WHO WE KNOW (even if it happens to be Jesus), until they see HOW MUCH WE REALLY CARE!
If we aren’t careful, and it happens to the best of us, we will have the same attitude the disciples had when it comes to feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, caring for the sick, serving the needy, and even in sharing the gospel—-“Let someone else do it!” (Mark 6:35-36) Our Lord’s message to his disciples, and no doubt, his message to us today is simple: “YOU FEED THEM!”
Oh Lord, give me a caring and compassionate heart that reflects the true life, light, and love of Jesus to a world that desperately longs for something that is real, and not simply another religious expression. Help my life to be used to draw men, women, and young people to you!
