Acts 20:22-26 (KJV) 22 And now, behold, I go bound in the unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: 23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. 24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. 25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more. 26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
Paul, while on his journey with Jesus, endured much suffering and sorrow, but he refused to let problems, petty differences with others, poverty, pain, and persecution “move him.” He counted his life as only worth living if he lived for the cause of Christ, regardless of the circumstances and the consequences.
THIS IS WHAT PAUL LIVED FOR. THIS IS WHAT CONSUMED PAUL’S LIFE AND MINISTRY. NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS!
Paul’s greatest joy would come when he reached the end of his journey with Jesus and he would hear the words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”
OH LORD, GIVE US PAUL’S HEART, NO, GIVE US YOUR HEART FOR A LOST AND DYING WORLD!!!
Just reflecting on Paul’s consuming desire to reach people for Christ!
