Rekindling the Fire

fire-1“Did not our hearts burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?” (Luke 24:32).

If you have been saved for any length of time, you know, from both OBSERVATION and from PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, that our hearts often become cold, callous, and even careless. It matters not that we are attending multiple church services each week. It doesn’t matter that we are serving in some ministry of the church. While these are both vitally essential and should be a part of the normal Christian life, there are still times when our hearts drift from our first love [REV 2:4]. There are occasions when the fire and passion that was once in our hearts for Christ and the cause of Christ needs to be rekindled!

Has your heart become cold, calloused, and careless? If so, it might be time for a rekindling of the fire!!!

fire-2“But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones …” (Jeremiah 20:9)
