“And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed (asked) him, saying, COME over into Macedonia, and HELP US. And after he had seen the vision, IMMEDIATELY we endeavored TO GO into Macedonia” (Acts 16:9-10).
There is not a shortage of needs and needy people in our world today. To be honest with you, there never has been. Whether its the hungry and the homeless around the corner; the sick and the disabled in the hospital down the street; the widow and the orphan who live in your neighborhood; the elderly who sit alone in a home for seniors; your lost neighbors, classmates, or coworkers; the refugees who are begging for our help; the unreached peoples of the world, there are plenty of needs to go around. The problem has never been with the harvest, it has always been with a lack of willing laborers!
Paul saw a VISION, he heard a VOICE, and the DESIRE of his heart and the DIRECTION of his life was changed. And because he obeyed the VOICE, a church planting movement began in Europe.
Those who are willing to hear the VOICE of Jesus and get hold of a VISION for the glory of God and the good of mankind, can and will make a difference!
“Where there is no vision the people perish ….” (Proverbs 29:18)
What VISION is stirring your heart today? What VOICES are you listening to? Do you hear the words, “COME HELP US” crying out from across the street, downtown, and around the world?
