If Christ is Preached, Rejoice!

paulPhilippians 1:12-18,  But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel; 13  So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places; 14  And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. 15  Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: 16  The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: 17  But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. 18  What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

Sometimes we read over a passage of scripture and just miss it. Absolutely miss the truth that is just staring us in the eyes. And, this is no doubt one of those many passages.

I encourage you to read these verses prayerfully- remembering that Paul is in prison and is writing about those “preachers” who are actually trying to discredit, dishonor, and even destroy him and his ministry. What is his response?

“What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in presence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice” (Philippians 1:18).

WOW!

Apparently, Paul had SOMETHING we need today. Or possibly he knew SOMEONE we need to know today!

“That I may know HIM, and the power of HIS resurrection, and the fellowship of HIS sufferings, being made conformable unto HIS death” (Philippians 3:10).

Just Reflecting!!!
