Abiding in the Vine

Grape vinesI am the true Vine … Abide in Me, and I in you, as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. … Herein is My Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit, so shall ye be My disciples” (JN 15:1, 4, 8).

“Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should ‘GO’ and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain …” (JN 15:16).

Whether “around the corner” or “around the world,” God has called all of us to make a difference in the lives of others; a lasting difference. We are to make a difference, not simply for the good of others, but for the glory of God.

May we give our lives unto this end!

Our ability to bear fruit—making a difference (a lasting difference)—in the lives of others will be greatly determined by our willingness to abide in Christ, and allow His words to abide in us.

Abiding and abounding is what the Christian life is all about!

Just reflecting!!!
